Baths - Lovely Bloodflow
HEY NOW
Hey now, this track by London Grammar is amazing. I’m in love with the vocals and the electronic bits in the background. Really resonates you all the way down to your core. London Grammar’s other tracks called “Metal and Dust” and “Wasting My Young Years” are just as good so give them a listen if you love “Hey Now”. Cheers followers.
“If you still want me to be there, I‘d be there in a minute to say: ‘I love you enough to drive like an hour from wherever I am to be with you.’ And it is always the simplest shit that means the most.”
Started listening to some music from Baths. Really chill and an awesome accompiant to the cs practicing I am doing today for my upcoming exam on Thursday. I actually have two exams that day but the cs exam I have is some serious business.I have to and will do well on that exam. Anyways, I picked this particular track to share you today, my followers, because it suits what’s being on in my life lately. For all you college and university students that follow me, I wish you the best of luck for this exam period! Study hard!
“Love is in the eyes of the beholder.”
Vibing to this track and then it’s off to dreamland.
“Every time I feel like I’m feeling alright, I get sideswiped.”
Lovely track by astronauts, etc. I think this track justifies giving more of their tracks a listen.
People Under The Stairs - San Francisco Knights
Hey guys, it’s me again bringing your attention to another chill track that your ears need to hear. Whether your going out tonight or choosing to stay in, you should take a moment and kick back to this track.
It is time to end off the day, so let’s end it right by chilling and vibing to this.
This is “Night 1” of the 25 Nights For Nujabes by Ta-ku in dedication to Seba Jun. I’ll have to get around to giving the rest a listen tomorrow perhaps. Good night folks.
Bonobo - Recurring
So I’m currently doing some late night note writing in preparation for my biochemistry midterm Thursday night and this track has been the perfect background music. Even though I highly recommend it for studying, I also have this incredible urge to blast it at maximum volume and get completely engulfed in this track and just jam out and do some groovy dancing. Alas I’d probably be murdered by my roomates at this hour if I do that, so headphones it is! I checked out some live videos of this song and man this DJ is sick live. More electronic bands like Bonobo need to perform in my area so I can attend this shows and get my mind blown. Anyways, time to refocus.
Thrice - Wood & Wire
“Dawn is coming. All is well, I will rejoice.”
Underrated band. Chill track referencing to death row execution.
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Psychic Love Damage
Okay everyone, it’s time for part of your daily dose of chill music. This is one of my favourite tracks off of the “Cobra Juicy” album. Seriously, check these guys out.
“Seasons change, it will never be the same. I’m hoping that I will always stay the same. Reasons strange, why we always play these games…”
Yesterday I went on the hunt to find some really chill tracks that sounded similar to Groove Armada’s “Inside My Mind (Blue Skies)”, because it is a fantastic track to sit back and immerse yourself completely in some homework. I went and posted on a Facebook group page for one of the clubs I participate at university for music fanatics and a friend of mine reminded me of using Last.fm and checking out similar artists. And that’s when I discovered just what I was looking for: Bonobo! Bonobo is an artist that has some fantastic downtempo, jazz, electronic tracks! So far most of the tracks that I have taken a liking to are all from the album Black Sands. My favourite track currently is “Stay the Same” featuring the lovely vocals of Andreya Triana. For now I’m going to have look into his other albums and also, if any of you have some suggestions of tracks similar to this one, inbox me and I’ll check it out. Happy listening and studying for all my student followers!
Tame Impala - Apocalypse Dreams
Discovered this psychedelic rock sounding track a few days ago and it is the perfect track to chill out to and slowly work away at school work. Thank you Turntable Kitchen for your lovely monthly mixtapes and directing me to some awesome tracks!
Wolf Girl
Summer Heart’s remix of Simian Ghost’s track “Wolf Girl” is absolutely brilliant! It just gives me chills up my spine. I just listened to the original track a few minutes ago and although it is good, it lacks the intensity of the remix. The best part of this remix is when it says “wolf girl…”. Sweet, sweet eargasms. The chill, deep vibes are going to be hard to shake off! For all you chill music lovers out there, you need to give this remix a listen!
“It’s sad but it’s true how society says her life is already over.”
Lately I have been finding myself loving a lot of tracks that have sampled vocals from other tracks and pairs it together with a chill beat. For example, RAINMAN’s track “The Stars” that samples from Coldplay’s “Yellow” and Panama’s “Blossom” that samples from Bon Iver’s “re: Stacks” are both tracks that I have blogged about recently that have done the same thing. This time ODESZA has sampled from Lily Allen’s track “22” and achieved an excellent chill track. My only problem with this track is that it isn’t longer! You can find a free download of this track here.

Today I listened to the entire album of “The King of Limbs” by Radiohead for the first time today and I instantly fell in love with the entire album! Thus far, I have only listened to “In Rainbows” from Radiohead and in my opinion, “The King of Limbs” is much better. I just simply can’t get enough of the chill sound emanating from this album! Currently my favourite song off of the album is “Little By Little” with its seductively evil sound. It is almost as if the temptation to do something evil is slowly creeping through you. I am very certain that with more listens I will have more favourites from this album but for the time being the only question is: what Radiohead album should I listen to next?
